Mr. Nigel Zhu graduated with an LLB degree and an LLM degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Law School of the University of Wisconsin respectively. Mr. Zhu is admitted to practice law in the People's Republic of China, as well as in the New York State of the USA.
Mr. Zhu has over ten years of experience practicing as a lawyer. He specializes in providing compliance-concerned legal services, including cybersecurity and data compliance, anticorruption, antitrust, and ESG.
Prior to joining Llinks, Mr. Zhu worked at a reputable U.S. law firm for four years and represented multinational companies in data compliance, antitrust, M&A, and foreign investment projects. Mr. Zhu is a seasoned cybersecurity and data compliance expert. His comprehensive service offerings encompass data exit security reviews, network security assessments, personal information protection certifications, impact assessments, incident response strategies, and the development of robust cybersecurity and data compliance frameworks. Demonstrating his industry leadership, Mr. Zhu has contributed significantly to the field by co-authoring the group standard 'Data Compliance Management System Requirements'.
Mr. Zhu is well-versed in the field of antitrust and competition law. With extensive experience in merger control filings, he has successfully represented leading industry players, including China's largest home decoration and furniture retailer, the country's first and largest new energy battery producer, and a prominent cathode material manufacturer. His client base spans state-owned, private, and foreign-invested enterprises across various sectors. Beyond merger control, Mr. Zhu provides comprehensive antitrust compliance counsel, including risk assessments, system development, and representation in administrative and civil proceedings.
